The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
